Supernova

Installation at Hebbel am Ufer (March 2018)

Four flags are created for the performances of Supernova with the work and collaboration of the Sketches/Notebook ensemble, by invitation of the choreographer Meg Stuart. A pulsing world of light, music, objects, and gestures arises from these sketches and investigations—a laboratory for testing boundaries. The flags correspond to the astronomical phenomenon in which a star explodes, briefly blazing more brightly than ever before. This project expands in just that way, sounding out boundaries and bringing a variety of art forms together in a collective ritual.
