Solo Exhibition and Performances at Efremidis, Berlin (September to October 2021)
With a book, an installation and a performance series, Claudia Hill presents the travel diary of a handwoven poncho. In her decade-spanning project, the artist challenges the participants to ask the questions: What is the most essential element of what you do, and how can it be shared in a significant way? Hill shows this to be an urgent question, illuminating the value of art in all its relational and transformative contingencies.
Exhibition opening and book release with music by Mikey Woodbridge, poetry by Ezra Green, skateboarding by Emil Bell, meditation by Panch Nishan Khalsa, book reading, and collective dance along with the 30 contributors to the book all over the world at the same time.
One-on-one encounters with gallery visitors during Berlin Art Week; Private Conversations on Love held within the Akashic Records, a space of unconditional love.
Social Fabric Earth Return is curated by Tenzing Barshee.
