For the premiere of William Forsythe’s “Decreation”, costume designer Claudia Hill celebrates her German debut.
On the stage of the Bockenheimer Depot in Frankfurt am Main, the choreographer William Forsythe is staging a premiere. “Decreation” is a project tailored to the space with an interdisciplinary ambition: the artistic team is joined by the soloist Christine Schäfer, the composer Thom Willems and Claudia Hill. The conceptual artist is a trained dancer and has made a name for herself as a fashion designer in New York and Tokyo. Now she returns to the ballet scene as costume designer of the Frankfurt production. Performances until 10 May. Further dates from September. Bockenheimer Depot. Auf der Bühne des Bockenheimer Depots in Frankfurt am Main inszeniert der Choreograf William Forsythe eine Uraufführung. „Decreation” ist ein auf den Raum zugeschnittenes Projekt mit interdisziplinärem Anspruch: Das künstlerische Team wird ergänzt von der Solistin Christine Schäfer, dem Komponisten Thom Willems und Claudia Hill. Die Konzeptkünstlerin ist ausgebildete Tänzerin und hat sich als Modedesignerin in New York und Tokio einen Namen gemacht. Jetzt kehrt sie als Kostümbildnerin der Frankfurter Produktion in die Ballettszene zurück. Vorstellungen bis 10. Mai. Weitere Termine ab September. Bockenheimer Depot.
