今回はニューヨークに滞在している日本人アーティストの中山大介と共同でコレクションを開催。単なるファッションにとどまらない最先端アートを視野に入れた服づくりが注目された。

A feature in the Japanese newspaper Yomiuri Shimbun, headlined 'Originality and a handmade feel: independent brands draw attention at the NY collections,' bylined Takahashi. It profiles small, self-produced labels shown outside the major department-store system, describing Claudia Hill as a German-born designer staging a distinctive show with video work and models in plant-leaf-shaped dresses. A photograph credited to Yamagishi shows two models holding hands on a lit stage before projected shadow figures, labeled Claudia Hill.

Born in Germany, Claudia Hill came to the United States in 1993. After attending one of New York’s fashion schools, she started her own collection two years ago. Her slightly off-centered and avant-garde designs have already created a majestic number of followers, still vastly increasing. This particular time, she produced the show in collaboration with New York-living, Japanese artist Daisuke Nakayama. Her artful clothes-making style that goes well-beyond normal fashion, is being praised by many.
